How do I view Azure VM Metrics in Cloud Core Services?

This article describes the Azure Resources VMs view and what information it includes about each VM displayed.

On opening Cloud Core Services, select Azure Resources from the left menu or by clicking on the tile shown below.

If Azure integration settings are not already in place the Configuration tab will be selected automatically and settings will need to be provided before any other tab is enabled within the Azure Resources section. Refer to How do I manage Azure Configuration for Cloud Core Services?

View VM Metrics

Select the Metrics tab:

To view VM Metrics, first select the target Subscription, Resource Group and VM from the respective dropdown lists.

Select a Metric Type from the options below:

Select a Time Range and Interval:

A number of Time Range and Interval combinations are available.

Aim for a level of granularity appropriate for the workload being tested to ensure successful generation of a graph as some combinations can generate significant amounts of data. The UI will display a warning if failure is a likely outcome. Try reducing the Time Range or increasing the granularity of the Interval if such a warning is displayed.

Click Close to return to the main form:

Click Generate to and the system will render the graph:
